Wildlife Wanderers!
Welcome to Wildlife Wanderers, where we aim to inspire the next generation through nature connection and animal interaction in a family-friendly environment! Our program is not your typical nature play session.
From exploring Australian Indigenous culture to learning about recycling and reusing items, or focusing on our animals like Little Penguins, Tasmanian Devils, or Tree Kangaroos, there's always something exciting to discover. We also love to get you moving with activities like scavenger hunts and Zookeeper led tours, as well as jumping into science-related topics. Not to mention the ability to get hands on with our amazing education animals.
Wildlife Wanderers Program
Join our Wildlife team every Friday from 10.30am, for an exciting adventure of discovery. Diving into the wonders of nature and wildlife in engaging and educational ways! Together, let's spark a deep love for the environment and all the incredible animal species that call it home.

What's on in Term 2?
Week 9 – 27 June
10.30 to 11am
Milk jug bird feeder decorating! Decorate your feeder, take it home, and hang outside. Place a some seed inside and see which birds come to visit.
11 to 11.15am
Milk jug wind catcher decorating! Attach ribbons or paper twine to a milk jug and watch them twirl and fly in the wind as you run around.
11.15 to 11.30am (animal experience)
Meet Tookie – our colourful Eclectus Parrot
Little ones zone
Play with rainbow toys.

Play your friends in Snakes and Ladders!

Week 10 – 4 July (NAIDOC)

Help make a Wildlife Wanderers community painting.
Add your portrait and artistic touch to a group painting, showing our 2025 Wildlife Wanderers community.
11 to 11.15am
Read a story together, then try damper, honey and fruit.
11.15 to 11.40am (animal experience)
Meet Chikko, the Diamond Python!
Little ones zone
Try some sensory items.
Bonus activities
Colouring in and play with sensory trays.
11.10 to 11.30am
NEW Wildlife Wanderers shed or Outback Events Wing, depending on the weather.
