Where is Gumbuya World?

Gumbuya World is only 50 minutes South East of Melbourne CBD on the Princes Hwy (M1) in Tynong North VIC.

What are the opening times?

Gumbuya World have updated opening times for 2019 and 2020. Please see our opening hours page to view the full calendar.

What is there to do at Gumbuya World?

There is so much to do and see at Gumbuya World, Victoria’s newest and only water, wildlife and theme park. We have four worlds of fun and adventure: our water park Oasis Springs, our new theme park Oz Adventure, our new kids’ area Outback Explorers, and our new animal area the Wildlife Trail.

Can I buy tickets at Gumbuya World?

Tickets are available for purchase at the park gate. From time to time we may reach our visitor capacity, so we recommend you book your day in advance online.  Our family pass is only available online.

Can I change the date of my booking?

Yes, you can change the date of your booking however we will need to know 72 hours before the intended date of attending the park. Please email with your current ticket date and the requested date change.

Are there any additional charges after we have paid for park entry?

There is an additional cost for our special Animal Experiences, our Surfs Up surfing water ride, and for Cabana bookings. Surfs Up is $20 per person for a 30 minute session. Bookings can be made at the ice-cream stand adjacent to the ride between 10am to 5pm.

Are there concession prices?

There are discounted prices for children and seniors.

Will you have pass outs?

All Gumbuya guests will be given a wristband, valid on the day of their entry, which will allow them to leave and re-enter the park on that day.

Is Gumbuya World wheelchair friendly?

All public walking areas of the park are wheelchair accessible. Some assistance may be needed on limited sections of a very small number of paths. Please refer to the park map, where these are clearly marked.

Three wheelchairs are available for complimentary use by guests attending Gumbuya World. Please speak to a member of our Guest Services team on arrival to arrange for the use of a wheelchair.

Many of our rides and slides generate strong physical forces or are subject to safety regulations which may limit their use by guests with certain accessibility requirements. Can I bring in a water bottle?

You are welcome to bring your own plastic or metal water bottle into Gumbuya World. Please note, for the safety of our guests and wildlife, we do not allow any glass containers.

Can I bring food or drinks into Gumbuya World?

Gumbuya World does not allow food or drink except a water bottle to be brought into the park. Our two onsite cafés and brand new fish and chip shop will offer a large range of delicious food available for purchase.

Can I book a function / event / special occasion at Gumbuya World?

Yes, we welcome your function, birthday party,  event or special occasion! Check out our Events page, or email for enquiries.

Can I bring in a birthday cake?

Guests are welcome to bring their own birthday cake, which we will refrigerate for them before their celebration.

Can I bring in baby food/formula?

Baby food and formula are welcome at Gumbuya World. Please note, for the safety of our guests and wildlife, we do not allow any glass containers.

Do you cater for specific dietary requirements and allergies?

We offer a selection of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free options in our cafés. For any specific allergy concerns, please contact us on in advance of your visit.

Does Gumbuya World have BBQs/can I bring my own BBQ?

There are no onsite BBQs at Gumbuya World, nor are guests permitted to bring their own BBQ.

Are pets allowed at Gumbuya World?

Gumbuya World does not allow domestic pets onsite as their presence would be stressful for our wildlife.

Am I allowed to smoke at Gumbuya World?

No, Gumbuya World is a 100% SMOKE FREE ZONE. A designated smoking area is located in the guest car park.

What is the Annual Pass?

Adult $149, child (3 – 15 years) $129, Senior (60+) $99.

Annual Pass: Terms and Conditions
A Gumbuya World Annual Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
An Annual Pass card holder will receive priority entry (‘skip the queue’) into Gumbuya World.
Gumbuya World Annual Pass holders will receive 10% discount off retail merchandise only. Excludes food and beverages.

You must present the ticket or pass on entry to Gumbuya World with a valid photo ID. You will not be permitted access to enter Gumbuya World without the pass and valid photo ID
All passes are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and non-refundable.
Passes cannot be on-sold to another party.
