The Gumbuya Crusader program is designed to create critical thinking, reflection and positive values while connecting with nature. There will be opportunities for
students to immerse themselves in the Australian bush, discover hidden ecosystems,our natural water filtration system and enhance a lifelong love and connection with our
amazing natural beauty.
Students are further challenged to advocate for all flora and fauna and discover links between human behaviour and animals survival. Students will observe, document and use their investigative skills to identify ways to reduce their imprint on the world over their lifetime.
Gumbuya Crusaders will participate in hands on fun activities :
• Build a nesting bird boxes for native wildlife
• Make enrichment toys for animals and birds
• Make an insect house
• Outdoor nature scavenger hunt
• Native tree planting or vegetables for the wildlife
• Make your own terrarium
• Possum relocation boxes
