RE-OPENING ON HOLD
Here at Gumbuya World the safety of our staff, guests, wildlife and community remain our number one priority.
As a result of the recent spike in cases around Victoria and our neighbouring suburbs we have made the tough but necessary decision to hold our re-opening this weekend.
Over the last few months our team have been busy preparing the park to ensure we comply with covid safe practises including signage, hygiene stations and training to name a few.
We are just as disappointed, as you may be, that we will not be able to open our doors and that our plans to provide a fun space for families will be put on hold.
Originally, when we made our decision to open two weeks ago restrictions were moving in a positive trajectory however the events of the last week have changed rapidly. With so much unknown heading into a peak period, being the school holidays, we want to play our part in keeping the community as safe as possible.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we prioritise any bookings for this weekend.
We remain optimistic that this is only a temporary wave and will not rule out re-opening before the end of the school holidays, however we will not be able to confirm until closer to date.
We cannot deny that this is a big challenge for our beloved park but as a team we feel positive that we can get through this together and come back bigger and better!
You will be the first to know when we have a new re-opening date.
Thank you for being a loyal Gumbuya guest.
